Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara national park (250kms 5hrs)
You will be picked up by our representative, take part in a short briefing and drive to Maasai Mara. You will go through Narok Town before entering the plains on your way to camp. You will enjoy lunch either in the dining hall or under the shade of an indigenous tree. Enjoy a few minutes of relaxation before you depart for an afternoon game drive in search of the Big 5. Maasai Mara is named after the traditional Maasai inhabitants and the Mara River. You will be driven by the river which is a great place to spot wildlife. This area is a photographer’s delight where, with any luck, you will be able to take amazing pictures of the hippo and crocodile in the water. The small size of the lake area funnels all varieties of animal into a tight space. The park allows for off road driving which means that guests can venture into plains where hundreds and thousands of animals live. Later in the day you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Maasai Mara Full Day
After breakfast, with a picnic lunchbox in hand, you will take off for a full day of game viewing in Maasai Mara. Today’s safari offers you a unique variety of animals. This hilly region is both humid and fertile and is crossed by Mara and Talek Rivers full of crocodile and hippo. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons Maasai Mara have the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. There is a particularly dramatic spectacle between July to October, where in you can experience the annual migration of huge herds of Gnus and Zebras. This migration also invites the predators such as hyena, jackal, leopard and lion to closely follow these herds. Other optional activities include the Balloon Safari US$ 450 per person, Maasai Cultural Village visit – US$ 20 per person and a Nature Walk – US$ 20 per person. Later in the evening you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha (190kms 3hrs)
Today you will embark on an early morning game drive in the Mara in search of the Big 5. The large predators include the lion, leopard and cheetah. The smaller predators are the hyena and jackal. The large herbivores are the elephant, rhino, zebra, hippo, buffalo and giraffe. You will return to the camp for breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon optional boat ride. Alternatively, a nature walk at Crescent Island is an excellent way to see wild animals while on foot. The Island is a private game sanctuary, which is home to zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, Vervet monkeys, hare, genet cat, waterbuck and giraffe. Other option includes a visit to Hells gate National Park for a walking, biking or hiking safari. You will stay at the Crayfish Camp Naivasha where you will have dinner and turn in for the night.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park (310kms 6hrs)
You will rise early to enjoy a delicious breakfast and then travel, by road, to Amboseli National Park; famous for its breath-taking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park also shelters more than 420 species of birds, enormous elephant populations and other big game; attracted to the area by underground springs fed from the melting snows of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will arrive at Kimana Tented Camp in time for lunch and then head out for a planned afternoon game drive. Later in the evening you will return to camp for dinner and then turn in for the night.

Day 5: Amboseli – Nairobi
You will rise early in the morning to take in the breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit and then set out for a morning game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from wildebeest to giraffe or baboon. You will return to camp for a full breakfast, check-out and drive back to Nairobi; arriving in the afternoon. Here you will be driven to the airport for your flight back home. This is where your safari ends.
